End my agony.
Oct. 7th, 2004 08:12 pmI decided to get it over with--drove all the way up to Microcenter in Duluth to visit a working Palm Tungsten C floor model, and it was fine. I didn't want to buy it from Microcenter in case I wanted to return it and then I'd have to drive all the way back out there, though, and besides, $400 is a lot of money for something semi-frivolous, without which I have lived just fine so far. But it's wireless!
So I came home, gave froogle one last try, and discovered that something called Newegg.com was selling it for $299. Free shipping and no tax too. The only catch, if you want to call it that, is that it is the international version so it can work in either Chinese or English. As long as I can set it to English, I suppose I don't care that it also knows Chinese. And my old Palm has the French OS anyway, so it's only appropriate to continue to have an international version.
So. It is finished.
Also, Vivian learned "Bang!" tonight. He's a genius!
