Pet fascist

msmidgeIt's time to become a pet fascist. One of the dogs (and I think it's one whose name starts with V) chewed a hole in my couch. No more couch privileges and no more night privileges either. Jerks.
Actually, my reading has me wondering what the Fascists were really about. In 1929 the Southern Israelite was praising Mussolini for letting the Jews alone, but in 1939 Mussolini was bad and the SI was wringing its hands over what was going to happen with Spain since it had allied with Hitler and Mussolini but needed England & France's help to rebuild after the war. I had always assumed that Fascists were something like Nazis but I don't really know why.
