msmidgeI moved some furniture back in, now that the floor is mostly done, to get an idea of how my office would look when finished.
There's not enough room. No wonder it was always a disastrous mess before!
My giant file cabinet will have to go in the closet, and I might even see if I can get rid of enough files to lose one or both of the 2-drawer black ones too.
I've been trying to get the baseboards into shape today. We took them off so we could paint the walls without messing up the baseboards, and now that they're off the walls I can see how gross they are. Underneath the white gooey latex paint on the surface, there is at least one layer of ugly mint green paint. So the oatmeal color I have waiting to go on the baseboards is going to take about 100 coats before it covers all that mess.
What a joy remodeling is. I wonder what kind of delights I will find once I finish painting the black hole of a dining room. I hope they're gross and really hard to deal with!
