Productivity!
Feb. 21st, 2005 08:59 amYesterday I wrote most of my paper that's due today--I am amazed at myself! I have to read a couple more things before I can finish it, but I hope to have that done before noon. The feeling of having enough time to get something done is beautiful.
We took Patsy and Vivian over to their friend's house for an hour or so on Saturday. When we came back to pick them, we learned that Patsy had wriggled under the fence and run away, making our friend chase her for 4 long blocks as she dodged in and out of traffic on a busy road. She may have been headed home; she was going that direction, but she probably would have been hit by a car before she got there. Sheesh. Anyway, our friend finally caught her and someone driving by gave them a ride home. I'm embarrassed by my stupid dog's behavior.
My mind has been very busy with ideas this weekend, and I can't tell if any of them are going to lead anywhere. Maybe when I get done with my paper I'll be able to work some of them out. I had hoped to pull it together enough at least to throw my hat in the ring (?) for the AAR call for papers due on March 1. That may be too ambitious though. The Midwest Jewish Studies conference is also calling, so I could do that one too.
I have a slight stomachache. Time to pour some acidic coffee on there and get to work!
