All my poring over design/decor magazines has finally paid off, I think. That plus Mr H's saying that he will not go broke on this kitchen, so we have to stop spending money. So between those two things I had several epiphanies yesterday that have made me much happier with my house. I "repurposed" a poorly-utilized bookshelf into a shoe shelf; I also repurposed a too-low office table and an orphaned set of Danish modern living room furniture into a dining room set; and I rearranged the living room furniture into a better and more spacious use of that krazy space. It's still a mess because not everything has gotten a home since the big displacement, but it is definitely getting there, and progress is good. Yay!
