Tomorrow:
read over midterms from my section.
take Patsy to the vet to deal with the infected scratch on her leg
read 10 articles for "morality and society"
go to professor's house for 5-hour grading marathon
come home and have shabbat (= stare at tv, probably)
Saturday:
keep staring at the 10 articles on which I have to write a paper
read chapter of professor's manuscript on christian clergy
read ethnography on assisted reproduction in israel (luckily, i've read it before)
maybe get together with friends on saturday night and try to convince them to adopt Vivian
Sunday:
write the paper on the 10 articles
type up notes to hand out to ethnography class
finish the book review i was supposed to have done in May
read article for am. rel. history class, write 1 page summary, figure out how to teach it to rest of class
department party in the evening--am i really going to this?
Ack. Intersperse these entries with "be annoyed, distracted by animals" and "look for other distractions due to boredom."
The good news is that the paper I have to write on the 10 articles should be the last in-class paper I have to do, so I can start working on my research projects more seriously. Also I had two ideas today for getting past papers onto a revision-for-submission-to-journals track, so that's a big plus. Just having the ideas at all is a big step--I had totally written these papers off already.
