If it's not one thing
Aug. 24th, 2006 01:47 pmI managed to get enough food in me for the moment (tofu-peanut-sesame noodles; thanks to the RD house people who shared this recipe with each other so that it eventually trickled down to me!). But I woke up tired and I can't seem to shake it off. I suspect exercise would help some, but it is really hard to get up the motivation to do anything. My poor dogs need to be walked, but it's like 80% humidity outside and thus really grody.
Someone called yesterday from the shul sisterhood to tell me I have a complimentary year's membership and I can come to their annual dinner in a couple of weeks. I have a mental picture of a bunch of middle aged and elderly ladies knitting stuff, but I'm sure they must do things other than that. They probably also crochet, for example.
I guess if I watch the stupid Netflix movies that I ordered for research purposes (movies that feature intermarriage somehow), that will be working and it will also be something my sleepy brain can possibly deal with now. "Prime" and "Keeping the Faith" are the ones I have to choose from. I also got "American Mormon"--it sounded vaguely interesting though not related to my research. I think I've seen part of "Keeping the Faith" on TV at some point and it looked really tedious. May as well watch it today and not waste an active brain day on it then.
