I made a mess of hamentaschen and now I have a ton of leftover fillings -- blueberry (pie filling from a can), apricot-coconut (excellent!), chocolate/nutella (sort of a disaster but tasty), and margarita (because Purim and Texas Independence Day coincided or something).

What do I do with all this stuff? Except for the blueberry it's not enough to fill up a pie shell.

Make and freeze some rugelah? My corporate masters at the restaurant use the same fillings for both kinds of cookies.

Or maybe a tart or tartlets, depending on how much filling you have?

I'd probably just throw it in the freezer and forget about it until it grew hair. Also, my boyfriend would eat the chocolate Nutella stuff on toast. He's useful like that.

Rugelah I hadn't considered, but I think I'm leaning toward tart-type things because I hate filling things individually. That's why this is the first time I'm making hamantaschen in like 8 years!

I'm agreeing on the tart idea -- filo turnovers would also work.

Filo turnovers I hadn't considered either--that sounds really good! Also a pain, but maybe it would also work strudel/baklava style.
